From this trailer we can see that this film is a comedy, the trailer shows many conventions of comedy films. At the start of the trailer it shows a bear marrying a woman, this would suggest that the film is a comedy. Some of the humour in the trailer shown is quite crude, which would suggest the main target audience is from the age of 15-30.

The actors Mark Wahlberg and Morgan Freeman would be unique selling points for the film, these actors are both well respected.

Zombieland Trailer(HD)

This trailer can be seen as both comedy and horror, there are genre indicators for both comedy and horror in the trailer. One genre indicator that would suggest the film is a horror is the fact that in the trailer there is a lot of blood and violence shown. Blood is shown in most horror films, it would connote death and violence which are also shown. The fact that the main theme of the film is Zombies suggests that the film is a Horror genre.

The scene where one of the character tries to defend himself from a zombie by throwing a toilet roll at them, would suggest that there is a comedy aspect to the film, also the actors such as Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson are shown to be like able characters. The audience would warm to them. Them two actors would also be uniques selling points for the film as they both have good reputations as actors.

The non diegetic sound in the trailer is quite fast paced, which would show that the film could also be seen as an action, one of the main conventions of action films is fast paced music. The trailer also shows that the film would be released in 'OCTOBER'.

From the trailer we can see that this film is both an action and comedy film. There is a lot of things in the trailer which conform to these genres. During the trailer there is some explosions shown, which would suggest the genre would be an action. Explosions and stunts is a common convention of action films. Also the main character Chris Tucker is shown to be the laughable character in the trailer, the way he speaks and some of the things he says with his high pitch voice would suggest there is a comedy aspect to this film.

Another thing that would suggest the film is an action is that it seems as if the main character is on some sort of mission to catch some criminals. Having a villain in the trailer shows the film would be an action as all action films have a hero and a villain.

We see that Detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) is the main character as he is the one who gets the most screen time in this trailer, his character comes across as a like able person, so the audience will warm to the chartacter. In the trailer, there is no date showing when the film is being released, is just says 'COMING SOON'.

From this trailer we can see that the genre of this film is Action. One genre indicator shown in this trailer is that there is a lot of conflict and violence. There is a lot of fighting with guns shown in this trailer, this is a very strong stereotype of action films. Conventionally in action films guns are used a lot, this film is no different. The trailer shows guns being used regularly. Also this trailer shows explosions and stunts such as driving through fences and jumping of a balcony on a building. Finally this trailer shows murder and kidnap, these two things are conventionally shown in action films, both of these things also connote danger, which is what action films are all about.

The location of this film is shown to be in a city, there is a birds eye shot of high rise buildings in the trailer. Having action films set in a city could be seen as a unique selling point as it has the effect of making the film more realistic, as it is set in familiar surroundings. This trailer shows that it is associated with open road films, but it doesn't say when the film is released, it just says 'coming soon'. The title font conforms with the stereotype of action films. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes | Official Trailer #2 HD | 2014

From the trailer we see that Dawn Of The Planet Apes is a science fiction film. One genre indicator in the trailer was that there were things shown that were super natural. Stereo typically in Sci-Fi films super natural themes are commonly used. In this trailer the super natural theme is the apes being able to speak. One of the apes named Caesar is shown to speak quite a few times in this trailer. Another genre indicator is that the apes are trying to take over the humans. Stereo typically in Sci-Fi films an army of some sort attempts to take over and destroy humans, this is shown in the trailer. There is also a lot of action shown in the trailer, there are explosions, guns and fighting, all of these are conventions of action films.

The non diegtic sound in this trailer does not really change throughout. From beginning to end the non diegtic sound comes across as sinister and quite mysterious, it feels as if it is building up to something. In this trailer i believe that the diegtic sound is more powerful and meaningful. At the end of the trailer you hear 'War has begun' spoken by Caesar the ape. This dialogue is very important in this trailer as it almost tells the audience what the film is about in 3 words.

There are two different types of titles shown in this trailer, the titles during the trailer differ from the titles at the end of the trailer. During the trailer the titles are shown in white, with what looks like outer space in the background. Having outer space in the background would connote that supernatural themes will occur in the film. At the end of the trailer the title font is in silver and it is in bold. We find out that the film is associated with 20th century fox, and we also see that the film was released on July 17th. The trailer shows two different locations for the film. One is in a forest, this is where the apes are shown to be living and the other is the city, where the humans are shown to be living.

From this trailer we can see that the genre of this film is a comedy. One genre indicator in this trailer is that the two main characters are very child like. This is a very strong stereo type of characters in comedy films. This trailer shows that it conforms to that stereotype. We see one of the characters punching his friend, who is dressed as a ghost, in the face, also the two main characters are shown to find someone getting hurt amusing. These two cases show that the characters are shown to be very juvenile. There are many comedy films where the main characters are shown to be Juvenile, some examples would be The Inbetweeners 2 and 22 Jump Street.

The non diegetic sound in this trailer is very similar from beginning to end. The sound is like music you will hear in a club or at a party, this really reflects the film. The film is all about fun and the non diegtic sound links well with that. Also there is some sound effects shown in this trailer to emphasize pain. This is when someone falls of their skateboard and when one of the main characters fails a back flip. This is a common theme in comedy films, others pain is is one of the main points of laughter in comedy films.

The trailer shows the film is associated with 20th century fox, also it shows that the film was released in August. The title font was shown in bold and blue. The color blue surrounded by a  flashing light connotes police sirens, which links with the film. The location of this film is shown to be in the city. From this trailer it is easy to see that this film is an action, there are many genre indicators in this trailer. Genre indicators include the stunts and violence shown. Another genre indicator was that there seemed to be a mission that needed to be completed. Conventionally in action films there is some sort of task to be completed and this is shown in the trailer.

In Fast And Furious 6 there are many well known actors, such as: Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson. All these actors will be unique selling points for this film as they make the film more desirable. These actors all got a lot of screen time in the trailer, this means that the audience will see that they will play a big part in the film, which would make them a lot more motivated to go and watch the film.

This conforms to the stereotype of action films titles being bold in either the color black or white. In the beginning of the trailer, the sound is very elegant and it seems as if they are trying to perceive the two characters as a harmless retired couple, which they are not... In the middle of the trailer the non diegetic sound begins to be more mysterious, this would link with the characters as they are shown to be secret agents. At the end of the trailer the sound is more fast paced, this links with the shots as they are both fast paced. Also there is more violence and explosions at the end of the trailer so the more fast paced sound fits in well.

All of these actors and actresses will be unique selling points for the film as they will make the film more desirable for the viewers. At the beginning of the trailer the two characters are shown to be bickering and making juvenile comments. In that scene they are seeking relationship advice, which in itself is seen as quite stupid. In some comedy films there is a task that has to be completed or a goal people want to achieve, in 22 Jump Street the task is to catch the people who are dealing drugs.

Another genre indicator is the setting of the film. In Comedy films, the stereo typical setting is a place that has a welcoming atmosphere, and this is shown in the trailer. The are shots of huge parties and people drinking alcohol, this would suggest the film is a comedy. From this trailer we can tell that this film is an action. There are many genre genre indicators throughout the trailer. The establishing shot of this trailer shows the main character holding a gun, this gives us the impression that there will be fight scenes and that he is a secret agent type character, therefore showing it is an action. A gun would connote violence and confrontation. The music at the start of the trailer is very tense, which would show that the film is very serious. The tension builds up to James Bond being shot, after this happens the sound slows down, throughout the middle of the trailer the intensity of the sound changes frequently. The last stage of the trailer has fast paced intense sound which is a convention of an Action film. In the last 30 seconds of the trailer fast paced editing is used, fast paced editing is also a convention of action films. Two shots in the trailer show James Bond with a woman. Romance could be seen as a unique selling point to woman as stereo typically woman enjoy watching films containing Romance.

From this Trailer the audience will see that the main character is Daniel Craig who plays James Bond, this character gets a lot of screen time in the trailer. With Daniel Craig having lots of screen time it enables the audience to warm to him, as they will get to know a lot about him from this trailer, the trailer shows many of his characteristics. In the trailer he is shown to be brave as he is seen to be in very dangerous situations as he fights with enemies. Another characteristic shown is that he is caring as he is shown to be with two woman in the trailer, the audience will warm more to this character as they have seen different sides to him. Daniel Craig would be a huge unique selling point for this film. Daniel Craig is a very well respected actor, with a very good reputation.

The titles at the end of the trailer are in a Bold white font, which is a common theme in Action films, with the font being white it would show that the film is very serious, this would mean it fits in with the film, as we can tell the film is of a serious nature. Also in the titles the iconic '007' is shown, this is shown in all James Bond films. Also at the end of the trailer, it shows the film came out in November, this is also shown in bold, white font. We also find out that this film was made by Colombia pictures.
